Volunteer Spotlight: Kanika Couchene

If you have ever met Kanika Couchene you would understand why she is this month’s Volunteer Spotlight. Kanika is a dynamic, smart, caring, patient and selfless person. She has a giving heart, is innovative and promotes Family Service Rochester’s services and mission, as an engaged community member.

Kanika is on the Family Service Rochester Board of Directors, and sits on the Human Resources and the Events committees of the board. She has spent her lunch hours delivering Meals on Wheels, attended and invited guests to our Denim, Diamonds and Dice and Once Upon a Playhouse fundraisers, connected volunteers and sponsors to our organization and has shared the mission with many. Kanika continues to show up not only for Family Service Rochester, but our community, and those we support.

Kanika Couchene is the Community Engagement Coordinator at Altra Federal Credit Union and the former Director of Events and Strategic Partnerships at Downtown Rochester.

Kanika lives in Rochester, is married to Josh and has a daughter Elina.
