Gordy and Terri Stockinger have a wide range of hobbies, such as attending concerts, going on road trips, exploring antique shops and quilt stores, gardening, and setting up an outdoor Christmas display. Married for 42 years with three grown sons and three grandchildren, they actively participate in volunteer work to give back to their community.

They began delivering Meals on Wheels with Family Service Rochester when their children were young as a way to volunteer as a family. Now, 35 years later, they recently brought their younger granddaughter along on a meal route. They said it was a full circle moment, bringing smiles all around.

“We enjoy being able to go out and help the diners through Meals on Wheels and Fresh delivery, knowing that we may be the only people they see that day. Hopefully, we can bring a smile to their face, as we often leave smiling, too! We have learned that there are so many different needs in our community, and thankfully, many volunteers with varying abilities and interests, to fill those needs. As one consumer recently shared with us, the Rochester area community is a generous community!”
