Family Service Rochester is excited to recognize the volunteers who regularly deliver Meals on Wheels to seniors and adults with disabilities on a weekly and monthly basis in Rochester. Collectively, these individuals, businesses, service clubs, and groups help to provide warm meals during the lunch hour every day of the year, weekends and holidays included. We are honored to be on their calendars month after month, and often times, week after week. Their dedication drives the program to deliver over 33,000 meals in just 11 months, approximately 690 individual meals a week.

Some of these regular volunteers deliver meals 4 to 5 days a week. Some of them have been volunteering for a month, and others have been helping for 20 plus years. One volunteer says that she and her husband enjoy “being out in the community meeting so many people,” and they grow close to the clients who “light up with smiles when the knock on their door comes.”

Regular Route Drivers, Thank You! Your constant dedication to delivering Meals on Wheels helps hundreds of people in your community every month. You not only help provide a warm meal to these people, but you also share your smile, your time, and your kindness. Thank you for all you do.
