Volunteer Spotlight: Amy Edelbach

Amy is this months volunteer spotlight. She lives in Rochester with her boyfriend and cherishes time spent with her daughter and grandson who live in Fargo, ND. She enjoys visiting them whenever she can and also loves spending time with her mother, who lives about 45 minutes northeast of Rochester.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golfing, and crafting & creating beautiful wreaths, signs, sewing projects, jewelry, and paintings. Decorating for the holidays is another favorite pastime that brings her joy.

When asked why she volunteers, she shared that helping people who need an extra hand or are no longer able to complete certain tasks is deeply fulfilling. The relationships and friendships that form through simple acts such as offering a hand, sharing a conversation, or exchanging a smile are priceless to her. She says she learns something new with every visit or task she helps with, and that sense of connection and purpose brings her joy.
