Right now, more children and teens in our community are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, and emotional overwhelm than ever before. Across the county, nearly 1 in 3 US high schools students report that their mental health is not good most or all the time.

At Family Service Rochester, we see the need growing. In this past year, more than 500 students received support through our SE MN School Based Mental Health Services, and more than 44 youth and families received help through Family Based Therapy services.

Behind every number is a child trying to focus on school while carrying anxiety. A teen is silently struggling with depression. Or a family searching for answers during a difficult season.

The encouraging news is: Help works. Connection Matter. Early support changes lives. It’s proven that when young people have access to counseling, trusted adults, coping tools, and safe space to talk, healing can begin. Confidence grows. Relationships strengthen.

That's why Family Service Rochester remains committed to ensuring youth mental health is accessible to all families regardless of income or insurance. While we bill all major insurance providers, we are also one of the few nonprofit organizations in our area that offer a sliding fee scale, so financial barriers do not stand in the way of care.

It creates space for healing and opens the door to brighter days ahead and most importantly is reminds our youth that they are not alone.
