Since January 2019, Jessica Thornton has been a driving force at FSR, currently serving as the Program Manager for Aging Services. Her connection to the organization began even earlier, as a 1997 intern while studying at RCTC. A Pine Island native, where she now lives with her husband and three daughters, Jessica brings a wealth of experience from roles in property management and over a decade at the Post Bulletin, culminating in her position as Circulation Manager.

Jessica initially joined FSR as a Program Assistant, focusing on Meals on Wheels. Her natural ability to "wrangle large groups" has proven invaluable as Aging Services has expanded. She finds great satisfaction in supervising and mentoring her "fabulous" and hardworking team, including collaborations with UMR Community Collab students.

Valuing transparency and teamwork, Jessica appreciates that her input is valued at FSR. She enjoys being part of the Principles of Partnership group and feels a strong sense of support and work-life balance. For Jessica, the daily reward comes from knowing she has made a difference, highlighting FSR's proactive approach to addressing community needs, particularly in dementia and respite care. Currently pursuing further education in Business Administration with FSR's support, Jessica is excited about the organization's future growth and her role within it.
