Staff Spotlight: Jane Gullickson
Jane has been a vital part of FSR for 14 years, beginning her journey in 2010 as a receptionist and rising to Lead Receptionist in 2019. Entering her 15th year, she’s witnessed significant organizational changes and become a cornerstone of FSR’s first point of contact. Jane thrives on multitasking and prioritizing, driven by a deep desire to help people, especially during times of crisis. Her calm patience and reassuring demeanor offer comfort to those seeking assistance for themselves, their parents, or their children.
Jane’s role extends beyond answering phones. She expertly manages intake, connecting individuals to necessary services and providing referrals. She understands FSR's crucial role in the community and readily assists staff, always prepared for any situation. Outside of work, Jane enjoys a 20-year partnership and marriage and blended family that includes six grandchildren. She expresses a genuine love for her work, particularly the office environment and the opportunity to help others. Jane embraces continuous learning and stays busy seeking new challenges.
Looking towards FSR’s future growth, Jane recognizes the potential challenges but emphasizes the positive impact on the community. She believes the most important aspect of her job is ensuring people have access to accurate information about available resources, both within FSR and externally. Knowing the “when, how, and why” empowers people and creates a sense of safety, reflecting Jane’s commitment to FSR’s principles of partnership.
