Dr. Hickey Appointed to Minnesota Board of Psychology

Dr. Lindsey Hickey, Ph.D. LP, Director of Mental Health Services at Family Service Rochester has been appointed by the Governor to the Minnesota Board of Psychology where she will provide subject matter expertise on training programs.

The Minnesota Board of Psychology is one of the Health-Related Licensing Boards, a regulatory state agency charged with protecting the public through licensure, regulation, and education for the practice of psychology within the State of Minnesota. The Board is comprised of eleven members, three public members and eight professional members. Board members are appointed to serve a four-year term, and can serve for up to two terms. Board members serve on a voluntary basis.

Dr, Hickey is seated as the Training Program Representative. She will representing training programs, bringing forward training standard concerns, work pipeline issues, and feedback on how regulations impact trainees She will also advise on licensing standards, reviewing and weighing in on education and supervision requirements, training expectations, and pre/post-doctoral hours. As a board member, she will weigh in on complaints, discipline, policy and rule development, practice, and regulation.

Dr. Lindsey Hickey is Director of Mental Health Services at FSR. She has been a licensed psychologist for over 15 years and a clinical supervisor for more than 7.
