Mental Health First Aid

Just as CPR helps you assist someone having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) helps you assist someone experiencing a mental Health or substance use-related crisis This 8-hour course helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addiction and mental illness. 

In the MHFA course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for helping someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

MHFA courses are offered by certified local instructors.
