Thanks, Volunteers!
It was a pleasure to bring such caring and giving people together for our Volunteer Recognition events in April! We celebrated and recognized the work our amazing volunteers do. The time our volunteers contribute directly impacts the ability to achieve our mission of enhancing the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in our communities.
Your volunteering makes this impact possible. Whether it's providing supervised parenting times at the Family Access Center, tutoring students at Meadow Park Learning Center, delivering Meals on Wheels, assisting with Senior Café, providing caregiver respite, delivering groceries, shoveling snow, mowing lawns, housekeeping, providing transportation, completing a handywork project, assisting with events and fundraising, volunteers are vital to our consumers' wellbeing.
You freely donate your time and talents to make a difference in your community, and for that, we thank you. Please accept the gratitude of our consumers and staff and know that your volunteerism is recognized, appreciated, valued, and cherished.
In 2022, volunteers provided over 10,850 hours of service. That included serving seniors with over 9,890 hours of services. Family Access Center volunteers provided 408 hours of monitored parenting times and exchanges. Volunteers delivered over 34,000 noon meals with Meals on Wheels, assisted with 975 medical and non-medical rides, logged over 1,000 companionship hours, and assisted with over 3,300 hours of seasonal chores, including snow removal, lawn mowing, and hauling. In addition, volunteers contribute to the success of our events, such as our Annual Meals on Wheels fundraiser and Once Upon a Playhouse. Your incredible generosity profoundly impacts Family Service Rochester. On behalf of FSR and our consumers, thank you for your time, support, and dedication.
