National Volunteer Appreciation Month

The Greek philosopher Theophrastus once said, "Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend." This is one of the most powerful truths about the value of time; it cannot be held, seen, or touched but is one of humankind's most priceless treasures. In 2022, Family Service Rochester volunteers gave over 45,000 hours of their time; PRICELESS and astonishing! Every day, volunteers help to fulfill FSR's mission of supporting and enhancing the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in our community. Providing supervised parenting times at the Family Access Center, helping tutor students at Friendship Place, delivering Meals on Wheels, assisting with Senior Café, providing caregiver respite, grocery shopping, snow shoveling, lawn mowing, housekeeping, and so much more, volunteers are vital to the services we provide.

April marks National Volunteer Appreciation Month, recognizing the efforts of millions of Americans who collectively volunteer billions of hours each year. Thank you for giving so freely of your time and talents!
