Service Specialist

Part-Time Temporary

Position Purpose:
Position exists to provide a variety of services associated with FSR's COVID 19 food/supplies distribution and Senior Independence program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1.Pick up and deliver food/supplies per schedule
2.Prepare food and supplies boxes per distribution schedule
3.Assist in unloading, weighing, sorting incoming food
4.Daily clean and sanitize floors and surfaces in food prep areas
5.Clean and sanitize refrigerator interior 2x/week or more if needed
6.Respond to requests for information from supervisor and other program staff in a clear and timely manner
7.Complete yardwork, fall clean up and snow removal per schedule

Other duties and responsibilities:
1.Attend team meetings as scheduled or directed.
2.Communicate with supervisor to ensure a positive environment.
3.Other activities as directed.

Supervisory responsibility:
none

Qualifications:
Training and Experience: High school diploma preferred. Desire relevant experience: grocery bagger, yard work, cleaning, physical labor, delivery.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Speak, read, write in English. Perform mathematical calculations. Must be able to interact positively with diverse populations, possess capacity and maturity to be non-judgmental, act in professional respectful manner; and work within a team environment; effectively communicate with colleagues, co-workers and agencies. Must possess basic computer literacy.

Special Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License and dependable transportation to use for work purposes. Willingness and ability to work additional time if needed to meet crises and deadlines.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to regularly talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, and life. Requires physical ability to routinely lift large boxes and packages weighing up to 50 pounds as well as normal office materials and tools, lifting and reaching; ability to move throughout office and center facility; ability to periodically help co-workers including folding, moving, and setting up tables, stack/unstack chairs.

Work environment:
Regular exposure to normal office environments, supplies and office machines. Regular exposure to outside weather that includes high or low temperatures, light snow, etc. Ability to drive in inclement weather.
