Project Restore

Men's Domestic Violence Group

Violence is a learned behavior and over time can be unlearned. Domestic violence impacts the entire family system and broken relationships can be restored. This group serves men who have been violent or are concerned about their violent behaviors. Participants are both voluntary and court ordered. In Project Restore, mental health professionals and practioners trained in domestic violence co-facilitate this group. They partner with participants on building skills and learning to manage anger in a way that promotes a safe environment for families. After attending group men are able to recognize their abusive behaviors, develop and use new non-violent, problem-solving and relationship skills; and to understand and address the damages resulting from domestic violence.
